We are delighted to celebrate Punita Lumb, Secretary/Treasurer of CIESC, on being named the recipient of the Best Dissertation Award by the Higher Education Special Interest Group (HESIG) of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), for her dissertation entitled “Decolonizing Knowledge: Faculty Experiences of Power Dynamics in UK-India Social Science Research Partnerships”.
Punita’s dissertation critically examines the power dynamics embedded in international academic research collaborations, centering the lived experiences of faculty navigating UK-India partnerships in the social sciences. Her work pushes the field of comparative and international education forward by reimagining knowledge production through a decolonial framework.
